Veterinary tools essential for safe animal operations

28 Nov 2022

There are a thousand reasons why our beloved four-legged friends may need to be taken to the veterinarian. When they need to undergo even extensive tests to check their health status or identify the ailment or disease they are suffering from, the right professionals should be consulted.

In fact, the use of state-of-the-art technology and machinery to diagnose bacterial infections and diseases of various origins is essential for timely action. At the same time, physicians and staff must possess advanced skills and keep themselves periodically updated on the most effective methods and therapies to treat each case.

Another aspect to be taken into consideration in order to provide animals with excellent performance is related to the characteristics of the facility in which they are admitted and cared for. Whether it is an outpatient clinic or veterinary clinic, the environments must be divided in a certain way and meet precise sanitation criteria.

Our company has been in the business of designing and creating veterinary instruments, furniture and accessories for over 30 years. We also devise custom-made products to reflect the specific needs of our customers. In addition, the continuous research, experimentation and versatility of our items have allowed us to join major initiatives. We have supplied our equipment to the largest clinic in Europe, in Padua, and set up the first mobile veterinary clinic for Italian fire brigade units.

We specialize in the manufacture of inpatient and surgical equipment for dogs and cats. In this article, we will give an overview of some of the devices in our catalog and describe the types of rooms needed in facilities dedicated to the care of our four-legged friends.

Designing veterinary clinic environments with appropriate tools

The number and kind of rooms may vary depending on the veterinary practice and the activities performed. Typically, we find the following: entrance hall with waiting room, room for clinical and surgical services, inpatient room, locker room, office for administrative duties, and restrooms. More comprehensive facilities may also have multiple operating rooms, an area dedicated to radiological diagnostics, and an analytical laboratory.

A reception desk with one or more stations should be included at the entrance, which we can custom create so that it fits perfectly with the space of the property. We design modular solutions both from curved and irregular lines and in the more classic horseshoe or L-shape. Various models, finishes and colors are available. To complete it all, you can opt for partitions, tables, chairs and benches.

Rooms where surgeries are performed must be furnished in a functional and practical way. That’s why we devise custom base and wall cabinets that we match with the accessories you prefer, including cabinets and refrigerator racks, sinks, and servos. We also develop a wide range of innovative equipment used during operations.

Since our goal is to support veterinarians all-around, we also provide suitable tools for animal housing, perfect for inpatient rooms. We build cages of various types for dogs, cats and more, with varying numbers of places. We prepare different versions, for example, those on wheels and those on furniture.

To complete the clinic, we also furnish locker rooms with cabinets, filing cabinets, benches also with backboards, as well as office spaces with desks and chairs.

Indispensable tools for the hospitalization of animals in the veterinary clinic

We produce state-of-the-art devices with attention to detail and designed specifically to ensure the safety and well-being of our four-legged friends. Within our diverse catalog we have several models of inpatient cages that we custom make in AISI 304 satin-finished steel and steel and PVC. Their main strong point is the lower edge designed to contain liquids, which allows easy cleaning of the box.

We also formulate special divider panels for these structures from nontoxic, high-density PE that are easy to insert and remove. The material they are made of absorbs vibration and consequently reduces noise, minimizing the stress of the housed patient. In addition, the conformation of the components prevents animals from moving them and, therefore, injuring themselves.

In addition to the standard multi-seat cages, other similar veterinary tools quite in demand for the confinement of dogs and cats involve a cabinet underneath, oxygen therapy devices, and other accessories necessary for their care.

In our industry, we distinguish ourselves by creating modular solutions that can consist of cages for compressed medical and vacuum distribution systems (Idgm) and anesthetic gas evacuation systems (Sdega). Thus, the risks associated with the use of hazardous power sources in outpatient clinics are eliminated. In addition, the utilization systems are practical and cost-effective because centralization keeps installation costs low and optimizes maintenance of system components.

Thanks to the know-how acquired in more than 30 years of activity, we are able to design and develop customized solutions for entire walls or several sides of the same room. We also prepare the specific veterinary tools required by the customer.

Instruments needed to perform surgical operations on animals

Operating rooms in veterinary clinics must be equipped with modern, efficient, and safe machinery to be able to perform all kinds of procedures to safeguard the health of animals.

Definitely essential are visiting tables and operating tables. Regarding the former, we create both advanced electric models and the more classic fixed models. Some have vertical movement operated by a foot pedal with two controls to adjust their height and can be on wheels or fixed feet. Our examination tables can also be equipped with electronic scales and trendelemburg movement.

As for operating tables, we devise versions that perform three different movements: electric up and down, manual side tilt, and electric trendelemburg. They can have a radio-transparent and/or folding laminated top and move through an electric or hydraulic mechanism. Some are operated by a push-button panel that allows total control of all mechanisms. These advanced products are designed for neurological and refractive surgeries.

In addition, we provide other veterinary instruments essential for animal operations, including stretchers, laparoscopic cradles, preoperative tanks, oxygen generation systems, and centralized anesthetic gas evacuation systems for operating and recovery rooms.
